            Allmixed and turned into the

            Evening gaslight…

            Still fresh and wan

            And way under the high horizon,

Asleep under a setting sun.

            Fallen berries carpet

            The graveyard steps,

            Laid each and every one

            With reverential care

            Above the sprawling vaults,

            Which stretch below the earth,

Beyond the cemetry walls.

            Children kick a ball about

            This staggered place of rest:

New life over death.

            Coming with the full moon,

            Graveyard lovers

            Make love,

            And more new life:

            New life, over death

            On a rocky bed

            Of emerald eyes,

            Alldrenched

In ashen moonlight.
