Every roof-pane
shatters;
Under yellow gas,
a skyless night
Burns smokily through falling rafters.
Onyx-like, glass
carpet pools
'Round blacken'd beds and bristling brooms
As skinshells turn to jellyjam
Faster than Sebastian
Who, hurtling backwards
through walls and chambers
Haunts this place
with jelly memory,
Dragging his betreacled brain behind him,
Through
the melting debris,
Somewhere, miles
above the towers
Hovering o'er the
final hour,
Skinshells
turn to jellyjam
Faster than Sebastian.
