Probably our best piece of filming in Rome is the long, unbroken sequence at the end of the video for Mary's track, Talking Truth. The song has a rainy feel, and I put the edit together using footage from Bucharest, Milan and Rome. One of the strangest things about covering Italy is the universal knowledge base which surrounds it, even in the States. It's like your audience has been there already in a Schwarzenegger movie or a Mini Cooper, or whatever, rendering any challenge of the stereotype almost pointless. On balance though, is the stereotype here so inaccurate that it actually needs to be challenged?
